| The must know is a mass media company that turns cutting-edge psychological research into bite size, practical, and smart everyday tips. We're your source for tips that come straight from top psychology research journals. And because we know the value of fun, we write each must know to be as entertaining as possible. That way, you'll use ’em and share ’em with your family and friends. We also provide you with our “Source” for each must know, so you always remember that the tips you’re reading have volumes of knowledge connected with them. Our hope is that you'll feel confident using our must knows to be your best at love, home, work, and happiness. | About Dr. Jane |
| She received her Bachelors degree from Emory University. She then completed her Masters and Doctorate degrees at the University of Florida. She finished her internship and fellowship training at The University of Miami/ Jackson Memorial Hospital and is now a licensed clinical psychologist. |
| And that's how Dr. Jane came to be! But, as for the must know... As I continued in school, I developed a tremendous respect for research. I found myself spending hours after school and on the weekends doing research at school, at the library, and at home. But then, I began to realize that the research wasn’t making its way to everyone else who didn’t spend hours buried in books. And so, for my dissertation, I brought the research to my local community by offering my services to Head Start. Finally, the community was able to benefit from the research that we were doing in the labs. And…it was working! As I went on to complete my internship and fellowship training, I wondered how to use my knowledge to help even larger communities…larger than my women's support group…larger than Head Start families. And so, on the evenings and on the weekends, my husband and I created the concept of the must know. We hope you like the must know. It's so much fun for us, and we're constantly learning...from the research and from everyone who's helping and encouraging us along the way.
